Willy Subbs
When Willy Subbs returned to school in 1979, he had no idea what wonderful opportunities were ahead.
For Willy, the future was going to be very bright.
Willy Subbs enrolled in a vocational program in 1979 to learn cabinetry. After spending time in the program, his teacher encouraged him to explore employment opportunities at Homes In Partnership. He was hired as a laborer on construction sites in 1979 but that was just the beginning.
After working with Homes In Partnership for six years, Willy learned of an opportunity to purchase a home and with the help of the Homes In Partnership team, he did just that. It was soon thereafter that Willy was moving his wife and two children in to their very first home.
The home was ready to move in when Willy purchased it but it wasn’t long before the home projects started. “Being able to make improvements to my home really gave me a sense of pride. My wife and I felt tremendous and it was a real joy for us. Our children both had their own rooms and were so excited about having a yard to play in.”
Over the past 26 years, Willy has seen a lot of growth and expansion in the Homes In Partnership program. “I encourage everyone I know to buy a home,” he says. “I still live in that same wonderful house after all these years. Who wouldn’t want that same opportunity?”
Over time, Willy has worked hard and through additional training, is now a superintendent with Homes In Partnership. For over 20 years Willy has helped countless families fulfill their dreams of home ownership. His story of perseverance and dedication is a true inspiration for others.
